National Blues Museum

St. Louis, Missouri

All across the world, one can find museums dedicated to all genres of music—except the Blues. Finally, the history and gritty raw sound of the Blues have found a 22,600 SF home in St. Louis, Missouri at the National Blues Museum, which aims to educate and celebrate the genre’s rich history in a city that the Blues itself help shape. The museum is part of a mixed-use redevelopment of the former Dillards Building, located on 615 Washington Ave in the heart of downtown. V Three Studios was selected as the Architect of Record with McClure Engineering for MEP Engineering and Gallagher & Associates as the Exhibit Architect to help carry out this dream and make it a reality. Our responsibilities focused on a 100+ person live performance theater, public and administrative spaces, and coordinating design and construction of the overall project.
